LE MANS ‘55

Based on the incredible true story of the characters and dramatic events that led to one of the most memorable crashes of all time. On 11th June 1955, the world watched in horror as over 80 people lost their lives at the legendary French race that included the most famous drivers and racing marques of the era.

TRANSFER

‘Transfer’ is an action thriller with a horror twist set in a remote resort in the Croatian mountains as a Croatian superstar striker is due to undergo a medical to complete a transfer to the English Premier League. A couple of hours before the deadline of this world record-breaking transfer of £250 million, medics Natalie and Jim arrive at the resort. They quickly find themselves trapped in a conspiracy where dark malevolent forces are at work. The ‘dead’ in ‘deadline day’ quickly becomes very real as what begins as a savage takedown of modern football business practice plays out to a supernatural horrific conclusion.

MADAME MAO

‘Madame Mao’ captures the epic story of the woman known as ‘the white-boned demon’ – the notorious wife of Chairman Mao whose actions led to the death of millions in China’s Cultural Revolution. From the young, unwanted daughter of a concubine, defiant in her refusal to have her feet bound, to the wayward, beautiful actress on the stages of Shanghai, to the ruthless, charismatic partner of the great revolutionary leader, Mao Zedong: ‘Madame Mao’ paints a fascinating portrait of an extraordinary woman driven by ambition, betrayal and a desperate need to be loved.

A paranormal comedy-thriller set in San Francisco about an academic musicologist haunted by a recently deceased jazz pianist who finds true love by exposing the conspiracy behind his murder.

ICED

Set in 1957 and based on a true story of when the provincial Brighton Tigers faced off against reigning world champions, the Soviet Union. Iced is a heart-warming comedy that captures the importance of sport in a more innocent time, when an ideology was only a well-struck hockey puck away from being defeated… for one night, at least.

MISTER BOSSA NOVA

Set against the 1994 Northridge Earthquake in Los Angeles, this highly original thriller drama series examines the fault lines between the nascent porn video business mushrooming in The Valley; the emerging West Coast rap scene; the rise of the Latino gangs; and the organised crime-led property boom in the Venice Canals. At the centre linking all these disparate strands is a reluctant detective, “the samba sleuth” – a Brazilian, former bossa nova producer and songwriter, Aloysio De Orfeu. In a world tilting on its axis, this dark, shocking exploration of the L.A. demi-monde is a compelling film noir to a bossa beat, a sideways look at underworld U.S.A. to a rhumba rhythm…
